Kyle Scisco

DRIVER

Kyle Scisco is a second generation driver under Brian Scisco. Kyle's dad and grandfather had built all their own equipment to go racing, they stopped racing around 2000 when Kyle was born. Twelve years later, Kyle's grandfather introduced Kyle into quarter midget racing.

Kyle raced for 2 years before making the switch to a full sized car in the “fast 4” division. He ran sporadically at Mahoning Valley because of the New Jersey age restrictions at 16. When Kyle finally turned 16, we raced at wall stadium 4 times that year and won two of the four races.

Kyle's dad still had his old car from when he races, so Kyle asked if I sold the 4 cylinder and got enough money could he race dad's car and the answer was yes! They won 13 races, a 4th in points, a 3rd in points, a 2nd in points, and we also have a track championship in the Sportsman's. After winning the championship, Kyle convinced his dad to move up to the modified division. We teamed up with Phil at PSR products and build themselves a modified.

That following season, they were back on track racing modified. We were able to pick up 1 win in a year and a half. In winter of 2021 into 2022, Kyle received a call from Steve Ferrara about driving for him and his family for the 2022 modified season. After a handful of meetings with Steve and Donna, Kyle agreed to be a Ferrera Motorsports modified driver team for the 2022 season.

Kyle started the year off Hot.... winning 4 races before even hit the half way of the racing season. Immediately, this Ferrara team proved to be force to be reckoned with as they established constant and consistent speed.

Along with all of our success and speed on the track, Kyle was awarded “Most Popular Driver” for the 2022 Modified Division.

2022 was a great year with family and friends. We are excited to grow and share our passion in future events!

In Memory of Bill "Willy" Scannell

It is with heavy hearts and deep gratitude that we remember our dear friend and cherished teammate, Bill "Willy" Scannell. For 42 years, Willy was not just a member of Ferrara Motorsports; he was the heartbeat of our team, a pillar of strength and unwavering support through every twist and turn we faced.

Willy's journey with us began in the early days, and he was right there at the finish line of our first victory in 1987.

His passion for racing and commitment to the team were evident in every lap we turned together, whether we were on the high banks of Wall Stadium, the challenging curves of Pocono Speedway, the tight turns of Martinsville, or the local tracks of Evergreen and New Egypt. Willy was more than just a fixture at these events; he was a driving force behind every success and a comforting presence during every challenge.

Through the highs of our greatest wins and the lows of our toughest times, Willy remained a constant source of encouragement and camaraderie. His dedication went beyond the track—he was a steadfast friend, a mentor to many, and a beloved member of our extended racing family. His infectious enthusiasm and genuine care for others created an atmosphere of unity and strength that defined our team.As we reflect on the countless memories and the indelible mark Willy left on Ferrara Motorsports, we are reminded of the incredible impact he had on all of us. His legacy will live on in every victory lane celebration and every heartfelt story shared among friends. Willy's spirit, drive, and dedication will forever be etched in the history of our team and in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.Rest in peace, Willy. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Your memory will continue to inspire us and fuel our passion as we carry on the legacy you helped build. Thank you for everything you gave to Ferrara Motorsports and to all of us who had the honor of calling you a friend.
